We had a wonderful night last night at our guild meeting! We have moved our meeting place, and are now meeting in the fellowship hall of the Hamilton Federated Church.
An employee of Missouri Star Quilt Company was kind enough to show the members around their warehouse as our special event of the month. I think that all were impressed with the expanse of the establishment.
The meeting was a very eventful one. We have made many decisions about the new year and are now tossing around certain ideas about future programs and possible field-trips.
We elected new officers last evening. Many have chosen to keep their positions, but some have been handed down to new officers.

Treasurer - Linda Schwaninger
Secretary - Deloris Burnett
Program Chairman - Carolyn Peterson
Director of Charity Quilts - Sue Jacobs
Internet Resources Manager(s) - Charlotte Bigler and Katie Darrah

The guild has decided to revive the old tradition of Friday Night Sews since everyone seemed to enjoy and miss them so much. We have been made a very generous offer by the Kidder Methodist Church to use their fellowship hall whenever we choose free of charge. We have decided as a group that we would like to accept that offer, and have decided that (with the consent of the church) we will be meeting there on the first Friday of every month starting in December at 6pm for our Friday Night Sews. We will, however, be in the Federated Church's fellowship hall for our regular meetings on the third Thursday of every month.
There were some exceptional ideas mentioned for program, workshop, and shop-hop ideas for the new year, including fabric painting lessons and a group trip to the Lincoln, Nebraska Quilt Museum. A computer class is planned for this next year, and some changes will be made to the blog. We plan to make this an open resource for all the members to have access to, and the class will help you maximize your computer utility potential. We hope this will not only help the members learn to better use the blog and their emails, but to also open up opportunities to be able find other very useful online resources not only regarding quilting but for all areas of life.
